Jeddah: The debut of "Your Ticket, Your Visa" has been announced by SAUDIA, the Saudi national airline. By connecting transit permits and aircraft tickets through a digital integration system, the first-of-its-kind service gives visitors even easier access to the Kingdom. The "Your Ticket, Your Visa" service is made available in cooperation with the Saudi Tourism Authority, the Pilgrims Service Program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and the Ministry of Interior.
With the new service, which is available at all of the Kingdom's international airports, visitors will be able to remain for up to 96 hours, travel the country, and complete the Umrah. The transit visa can be issued more quickly and is linked to the airline ticket within three minutes thanks to the digital integration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The launch of this innovative and seamless stopover visa is the first of its kind in the aviation industry and a significant milestone in our digital transformation program," said Captain Ibrahim Koshy, CEO of SAUDIA. We are convinced it will have a beneficial effect on the increasing number of transit users and strengthen our position as a hub that connects east and west. Additionally, the new service will promote Umrah, travel to significant locations, and attendance at events and Saudi seasons.
The introduction of the new service is consistent with SAUDIA's commitment to promote King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and strengthen its position in the region. To that end, SAUDIA has scheduled its flights to arrive at the airport from the east and depart from the west, collaborated with the Jeddah Airports Company to streamline travel procedures, and worked with the Saudi Tourism Authority to provide incentive packages for customers interested in using the "Your Ticket, Your Visa" service.
The "Your Ticket, Your Visa" service is a component of the digital services offered by SAUDIA through its website and intelligent applications, which are constantly developing to make travel processes easier and more convenient and to change the way after-sales services are given.
