Tirana, March 02, 2024, The Saudi-Albanian Business Forum convened yesterday in Tirana, the capital of Albania, drawing the participation of more than 250 officials, investors, and representatives from governmental and private entities in both nations.
During the forum, the Federation of Saudi Chambers entered into an agreement with the Union of Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Albania (UCCIAL) to establish the Joint Saudi-Albanian Business Council, signaling a fresh initiative aimed at fostering economic ties between the two countries.
In his address, Hassan Alhwaizy, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, underscored the existing agreements between Saudi Arabia and Albania, which encourage collaboration in economic, trade, and investment domains. Alhwaizy stressed that the creation of the Saudi-Albanian Business Council would significantly enhance bilateral trade and investment, urging a comprehensive examination and resolution of issues hindering current trade exchanges.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mufarreh, Chairman of the Saudi-Albanian Business Council, highlighted Albania's abundant investment prospects for Saudi investors, particularly through collaborations with their Albanian counterparts.
Among the attendees were Faisal bin Ghazi Hefzy, the Saudi Ambassador to Albania, along with Albanian dignitaries including the Minister of Finances and Economy, the Minister of State for Entrepreneurs, and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
