Saudi Alzheimer’s Disease Association to Launch Awareness-Raising Campaign on Alzheimer in September


 Awareness Campaign: The Saudi Alzheimer’s Disease Association is launching a campaign in September for World Alzheimer’s Month, involving over 300 organizations across the Kingdom.


Educational Activities: The campaign will feature bi-weekly online lectures and workshops led by experts on Alzheimer’s disease, and visual art exhibitions in malls, hospitals, and hotels to educate the public.


Support for Caregivers: It will also address the need for material and emotional support for caregivers, highlighting their critical role in managing the disease.


Riyadh, August 31, 2024 – In a notable initiative to mark World Alzheimer’s Month, the Saudi Alzheimer’s Disease Association is set to launch a comprehensive awareness campaign this September. This campaign aims to significantly elevate health and social awareness surrounding Alzheimer’s disease, a condition that impacts countless lives.


The campaign will see collaboration with over 300 organizations and sectors across the Kingdom, reflecting a united effort to tackle this pressing issue. Key components of the campaign include:


Online Lectures and Workshops: The campaign will feature bi-weekly online lectures, available through the association’s account. These sessions will be supplemented by specialized workshops led by experienced doctors. These workshops will delve into the scientific intricacies of Alzheimer’s disease, providing valuable insights into its mechanisms and management.


Visual Art Exhibitions: To further the reach of the campaign, visual art exhibitions will be organized in various prominent locations, including malls, hospitals, and hotels. These exhibitions will illustrate the stages of Alzheimer’s disease, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of the condition among the public. They will also highlight patients' rights and offer guidance on how to interact compassionately with individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s.
