On October 8, 2024, in Tunis, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Saqr, held a high-level meeting with Jalel Trabelsi, the Special Envoy for the Middle East, North Africa, and Gulf Region at the African Development Bank (AfDB). The meeting, which took place at the Saudi Embassy in Tunis, aimed to strengthen the relationship between the bank and the Gulf states.


Discussions centered around the African Development Bank's efforts to promote sustainable development and economic growth across the Middle East and the Gulf region. Both parties explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration, focusing on strategies to support infrastructure projects, economic diversification, and job creation within Gulf Arab states and the broader Middle East.
