Saudi ambassadors welcomed by IMCTC secretary general

Riyadh, August 22, 2023, The newly appointed Saudi ambassadors were welcomed today at the IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh by Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, the organization's secretary general. The ambassadors were provided with a comprehensive briefing on the commendable endeavors undertaken by the Islamic Coalition in its relentless battle against terrorism. The focus was primarily on the coalition’s pivotal role in countering extremist ideology, spearheading intellectual and media initiatives, curbing the flow of funds to terrorist organizations, and enhancing the coordination and effectiveness of the IMCTC’s operations. The ambassadors wurden briefed on the most recent updates regarding global terrorist organizations and events, as well as the coalition's surveillance and response strategies in relation to these matters. In a bid to strengthen international relations within the Islamic Coalition and enhance global efforts in the fight against terrorism, a visit was made with the aim of intensifying collaboration across various sectors.

In a remarkable display of efficiency and convenience, the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform, „Absher", recorded an impressive number of over 2.6 million electronic transactions in the month of July. Diese user-friendly platform, which is managed by the ministry itself, proved to be a valuable resource for Citizens, Residents, and Visitors alike, as they availed themselves of the diverse electronic services offered by the ministry’s various sectors. The Ministry of Interior's Agency for Civil Affairs, the General Directorate of Passports, and the General Traffic Department of Public Security have effectively carried out these services. In a recent series of transactions, the platform has successfully handled an impressive number of requests. Specifically, a staggering 172,281 document delivery requests were efficiently processed through mail. Additionally, the platform diligently addressed 5,012 general inquiries pertaining to fingerprinting, ensuring that users received the necessary information. Furthermore, an impressive total of 9,719 Reports were issued utilizing the highly efficient Absher Reporting Service. These remarkable figures highlight the platform's commitment to providing seamless and reliable services to its users.
