Sheryll Mericido

During his official visit to Costa Rica, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Waleed bin AbdulKarim El-Khereiji, met with the Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Arnoldo Andre Tinoco, in the capital city of San Jose. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and enhance bilateral relations between the two countries across various sectors.

Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying coordination and consultation, whether at the bilateral or multilateral level, to address matters of mutual interest. As a significant outcome, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica signed an agreement between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Costa Rica. This agreement pertains to the exemption of entry visas for diplomatic and special passport holders of both nations, further facilitating travel between the two countries.
