Saudi and Nigerien Officials Discuss Humanitarian Cooperation

Saudi Ambassador Dr. Zaid bin Mukhlid Al-Harbi and Nigerien Minister Aïssa Lawan Wandarama met to discuss humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

Niamey, September 13, 2024 — Dr. Zaid bin Mukhlid Al-Harbi, the Saudi Ambassador to Niger, recently met with Aïssa Lawan Wandarama, Niger’s Minister of Humanitarian Action and Disaster Management. Their meeting focused on discussing the ongoing humanitarian collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Niger.


During the discussion, Minister Wandarama expressed her gratitude for Saudi Arabia's substantial support, which includes contributions in the form of food aid, well-drilling projects, and medical campaigns. She also lauded Saudi Arabia’s initiative to host a donors' conference aimed at addressing the needs of displaced populations and refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad regions.
