Saudi Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdurrahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli, and Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to bolster cooperation and enhance production capabilities in agriculture, livestock, and water management.
The signing ceremony, held at the ministry's headquarters, reflects the commitment of both parties to climate change readiness in their respective agricultural sectors. The MoU outlines plans to introduce technologies in agriculture, develop the livestock sector, and strengthen plant and animal health. The collaboration extends to areas such as biotechnology, organic agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture, and the formulation of quality policies. Additionally, the agreement covers joint efforts in agricultural water management, monitoring water pollution from agricultural activities, and optimizing water usage in agriculture.
