Saudi announces new instant E-visa options for Visitors

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has announced new instant e-visa alternatives that would make it easier starting today for people with UK, US, and Schengen visas, as well as permanent residents of those countries, to get tourist e-visas to Saudi Arabia through www.mofa.gov.sa. This is only the most recent move Saudi Arabia is taking to make it easier than ever for visitors to see the real Arabia and support Saudi Arabia's objective of receiving 100 million visits annually by 2030. Saudi Arabia had already expanded regulations to offer visas on arrival to the six categories. With 93.5 million visitors expected there in 2022, Saudi Arabia has emerged as one of the world's tourist destinations with the quickest growth. This accomplishment is the result of the extraordinary efforts made by travel places all throughout Saudi Arabia to give tourists unmatched experiences and a smooth travel experience. The Saudi Tourism Authority is stepping up its efforts to facilitate travel to Saudi Arabia for tourists from around the world. Saudi Arabia is focusing on enabling all visitors to enjoy our natural and cultural variety through increased accessibility and connectivity provided by digitization. The new fast e-visa is one of many programs Saudi Arabia has introduced in the last year to enhance the visitor experience. The Nusuk platform was introduced in 2022 by the Saudi Tourism Authority in conjunction with the Pilgrim Experience Program. Nusuk, the first official integrated digital platform in Saudi Arabia, offers travelers and pilgrims a simple planning tool for their journeys to Makkah, Madinah, and other destinations. Saudi Arabia has already expanded its regulations to grant visas on arrival to holders of legitimate US, UK, and Schengen visas, as well as to permanent residents of the UK, the US, and any other EU nation. Residents of the GCC were also given eligibility for e-visas. Saudi Arabia also introduced a new stopover visa earlier this year. The visa is free and available to passengers flying on SAUDIA and Flynas. It is open to even more nations than the previous tourism e-visa and will let travelers stay for up to 96 hours. Saudi Arabia is a little-known travel destination with a rich cultural history and a lot to offer. Travelers can enjoy the upscale shopping and exquisite eating of Bujairi Terrace in Diriyah, the cradle of Saudi Arabia, and can immerse themselves in a living museum housing more than 200,000 years of human history at the AlUla UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors to Jeddah can experience the city's ancient historical neighborhood, Al Balad, and this year, the Red Sea Development, the most ambitious luxury travel destination in the world, will open its first hotels, including a Six Senses, a St. Regis, and a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
