Riyadh, March 2, 2025 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially expressed its support for the recent call by the founder of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) to disband and disarm the organization. This statement reflects Saudi Arabia’s unwavering solidarity with the Republic of Turkiye and its long-standing commitment to regional stability, peace, and security.

The Ministry emphasized that the Kingdom views this call as a positive step toward resolving longstanding issues and hopes that it will lead to tangible actions that can foster greater security, peace, and prosperity in the region. Saudi Arabia has consistently advocated for dialogue and peaceful solutions to conflicts, and it sees this development as an opportunity to further efforts toward stability in Turkiye and the broader Middle East.

By supporting this initiative, Saudi Arabia reaffirms its commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and promoting peaceful coexistence among nations. The Kingdom has expressed hope that the PKK’s disbandment would contribute to the normalization of relations between Turkiye and its regional neighbors, while also helping to end the violence that has affected the region for decades.

Saudi Arabia’s message reflects its broader approach to fostering peaceful resolution of conflicts and its belief that disarmament is a crucial element in ensuring long-term peace and prosperity for all nations involved. As the situation continues to evolve, the Kingdom remains dedicated to supporting efforts that contribute to peace and stability in Turkiye and the wider region, while advocating for the well-being of all communities affected by the conflict.
