Rome, September 30, 2023, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia actively engaged in the Global Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation (GC-SLT), organized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome from September 25 to 27. This conference brought together 28 ministers and 700 officials and experts from 84 countries.
Saudi Arabia's representative to FAO, Mohammad Al-Ghamdi, underscored the nation's commitment to leading in livestock development and its remarkable achievements in advancing the sector. The Kingdom has demonstrated its dedication to safeguarding natural resources, supporting small-scale breeders, and fostering investment opportunities in this vital industry.
During the conference's three sessions, Saudi Arabia showcased its expertise in harnessing modern technologies to enhance livestock production, contributing to food security, and aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Saudi Arabia's active participation highlighted its commitment to sustainable livestock practices on a global stage.
