January, 2023: Saudi Arabia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia and the official airline partner of the all-electric Formula E series, is set to transport car racing enthusiasts to the Diriyah E-Prix in Riyadh on January 26 and 27. The Diriyah E-Prix, held as part of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, features night races against the historic desert backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage site in Diriyah.
As part of the event, Saudia will host an expansive E-Village, featuring a dedicated Discover-E Zone with interactive experiences. The newly developed E-Zone includes activities like the 'Evolution in Your Hands' virtual quiz and the enhanced 'ReGen3rate' game, allowing fans to experience racing on the Diriyah racetrack while managing battery levels.
In a first-time initiative, fans unable to attend the Diriyah E-Prix can virtually visit Saudia's Discover-E Zone in a 3D world. The Take Your Seat digital hub will allow fans to explore on-ground activations through their mobile phones, ensuring remote engagement with the same activities offered at the race.
