
Riyadh, March 23, 2025, The Saudi Space Agency (SSA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) to enhance collaboration in the space sector. The signing took place at the SSA headquarters in Riyadh, attended by CEO Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, KASA Administrator Yoon Young-bin, and officials from both entities.
The MoU aims to bolster the strategic partnership between SSA and KASA by outlining a framework for joint initiatives in various space-related fields. These include deep space technologies, manned spaceflight programs, satellite launches and payloads, capacity-building in space science and engineering, and the exchange of expertise in advanced space applications.
The agreement seeks to enhance cooperation by promoting information and technology exchange, strengthening national capabilities, and advancing research and technical expertise in the space sector. It also aims to create an attractive investment environment for the space industry, supporting economic development and elevating both nations' international standing.
Dr. Al-Tamimi highlighted that the MoU aligns with the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding global partnerships in the space sector, emphasizing the role of international collaboration in advancing space technologies and fostering the growth of the space economy.
