VIENNA, March 28, 2025 — Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Israel's ongoing attacks and violations against Palestinians, particularly the targeting of civilians. Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila, Saudi permanent representative to the UN and international organizations in Geneva, expressed the Kingdom's disapproval of Israel's new agency aimed at displacing Palestinians from Gaza and its approval of 13 illegal settlement neighborhoods in the West Bank, calling these actions clear violations of international law.
In his address to the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on the human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories, Bin Khothaila also condemned Israel’s bombing of Syrian territories, highlighting the threat these actions pose to regional security. He urged the international community to end Israeli military operations in Palestine and Syria.
The ambassador emphasized that lasting peace will only be achieved when Palestinians gain their legitimate rights, particularly the establishment of an independent state with east Jerusalem as its capital. He also reiterated Saudi Arabia’s full solidarity with Syria and its people, urging respect for Syria’s sovereignty and an end to actions undermining its security.
