VIENNA, March 27, 2025 — Saudi Arabia strongly denounced the ongoing attacks and violations carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people, particularly the deliberate targeting of civilians. This condemnation was expressed by Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila, Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva.

During his address at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on the human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories, Bin Khothaila reaffirmed the Kingdom’s rejection of Israel’s recent establishment of an agency aimed at displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the approval of separating 13 illegal settlement neighborhoods in the occupied West Bank. He described these actions as clear violations of international law and international humanitarian law.

Bin Khothaila also condemned Israel’s bombing of Syrian territories, stressing that such assaults threaten Syria’s security and regional stability. He urged the international community to take responsibility in halting these violations and called for an end to all Israeli military operations in Palestinian and Syrian territories.

The ambassador emphasized that lasting peace can only be achieved when the Palestinian people attain their legitimate rights, particularly the establishment of an independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He further reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s full solidarity with Syria, expressing support for its government and people, while calling for respect for its sovereignty and an end to all actions jeopardizing its security and stability.
