Cairo, September 03, 2023, The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GASGI), on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is taking part in the international Geospatial Week 2023 (GSW-2023) conference, which is taking place in Egypt from September 2 to 7. The conference, which has "Remote Sensing for a Better Future" as its topic, is put on by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) in association with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). The delegation from the Kingdom is led by Dr. Mohammed Al-Sayel, President of GASGI.
The GSW-2023 reflects the spirit of cooperation, creativity, and growth, according to Al-Sayel, who also stated that the Kingdom's participation reinforces its commitment to utilizing the advantages of geospatial technology.
Over 1000 researchers, scientists, and specialists from many worldwide organizations will be present at the conference to address various geospatial information-related issues, including remote sensing, space science, data science, image processing, surveying, and its applications in diverse fields.
A scientific exposition of cutting-edge technology and developments is featured at the conference, along with training seminars.
The Saline Water Conversion Corporation, the National Center for Wildlife, the National Center of Meteorology, and the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification are among the government organizations whose products will be on display in a pavilion at the conference as part of GASGI's participation as an official sponsor of the event.
