Riyadh, November 1, 2024 — In a strategic move that underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to economic diversification and food security, Halal Products Development Company (HPDC) and BRF Global have announced a partnership agreement with Addoha Poultry Company. This collaboration, facilitated by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Abdulrahman Alfadley, aims to double Addoha’s production capacity by 2030, furthering the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
The agreement focuses on scaling up operations across multiple levels within Addoha, one of Saudi Arabia's premier poultry providers. With this new investment, the company will establish additional slaughterhouse lines, hatcheries, and production farms to meet the increasing demand for high-quality halal poultry. The expansion efforts are intended to build a robust, sustainable supply chain that aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's goals of self-sufficiency and resilience within the nation's food industry.
Addoha’s Chairman, Saleh Al-Humaidan, expressed optimism about the partnership's potential impact on the Saudi poultry sector. “This partnership with HPDC and BRF Global aligns with our expansion plans to enhance our ability to deliver high-quality poultry products,” Al-Humaidan remarked. “This investment provides resources and support to accelerate our growth. We are excited to strengthen our market presence and shape the future of the poultry industry in Saudi Arabia and beyond.”
This collaboration between HPDC, BRF Global, and Addoha is a significant step towards transforming Saudi Arabia’s poultry production capabilities. By investing in local infrastructure and capacity-building initiatives, the alliance is poised to contribute substantially to the nation’s halal food industry, enhancing both domestic supply and international export potential.
