Saudi Arabia brings attention to its efforts to assist those in need all across the world


The King Salman Humanitarian Aid endowed 2,984 initiatives aiding and assisting in a total of 99 countries by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the location of KSrelief



On June 20, Saudi Arabia honors World Refugee Day to show its support for and dedication to helping refugees and internally displaced people all around the world.



The Kingdom has targeted refugees with 424 projects worth over $1.182 billion, focusing on areas such as food security, agriculture, protection, health, shelter, early recovery, and education.



June 21, 2024, Riyadh. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian branch, has regularly helped those in need and those impacted by natural disasters throughout the world. Through its initiatives and programs, KSrelief has carried out 2,984 projects in numerous significant nations and areas, providing assistance in 99 different nations. Every year on June 20, we observe World Refugee Day to bring attention to this commitment. The Kingdom, which exemplifies its obligation of humanity on this very day, is a duty that applies to all countries. Through this announcement is the reassertion of Saudi Arabia’s unwavering dedication to give help and safety as it continues to show support for refugees and IDPs globally.


 The country views this as a humanitarian and Islamic obligation, mandated by both international humanitarian law and Islamic teachings. The Kingdom has been actively assisting refugees and internally displaced people all over the world in an effort to lessen their suffering and provide a life of dignity.


 The Kingdom specifically targets them with a number of humanitarian programs and initiatives, totaling 424 projects worth over $1.182 billion across various countries. Notably, Syria has benefited from 237 projects with a total value of $512 million, Palestine has benefited from 63 projects with a total value of $215 million, Myanmar has benefited from 24 projects with a total value of $173 million, and Yemen has benefited from 45 projects with a total value of $138 million. Solving food security, agriculture, protection, health, shelter, early recovery, and education is a priority for these programs. Over 2.019 billion US dollars have been provided by KSrelief for those who were displaced within their own country. Yemeni, Syrian and Burmese populace constitutes 5.5% of country residence. These individuals are refugees and visitors. Saudi Arabia recognizes itself as one of the most welcoming nations for visitors, who are considered refugees within the Kingdom, by providing free healthcare and education, as well as assistance in their integration into society. Every corner of the Kingdom is home to them, providing them with career opportunities and educational opportunities in public schools.
