Riyadh, January 29, 2024, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is actively monitoring the developments related to UNRWA employees and emphasizes the imperative of conducting a thorough investigation into the allegations. This call is made in light of the sacrifices endured by UNRWA workers, who have been impacted by the indiscriminate Israeli shelling of relief centers in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has conveyed a statement, noting, "The Kingdom calls upon all supporters of UNRWA to fulfill their role in bolstering humanitarian efforts for Palestinian refugees in the besieged Gaza Strip. It emphasizes the importance of ensuring the provision of essential necessities for Palestinians to mitigate the impacts of the humanitarian crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories."
In addition, the Kingdom has reiterated its profound concern regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, attributing it to the blatant violations of international law and international humanitarian law by the Israeli occupation forces.
