Riyadh, October 31, 2023, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces' brutal attack on Jabalia camp in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has caused the loss of life and injuries among numerous innocent civilians.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement, emphasizing the Kingdom's resolute condemnation and rejection of the Israeli occupation forces' recurrent assaults on civilian-populated areas. Such actions flagrantly violate international laws and humanitarian norms. The international community's inability to exert pressure on the occupation government to cease targeting civilians, establish an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, and implement a humanitarian truce, as outlined in the United Nations General Assembly resolution issued with an overwhelming majority on October 27, 2023, is a matter of grave concern.
The Kingdom underlined that the critical humanitarian conditions arising from the ongoing escalation are indefensible, stressing the immediate need to prioritize safeguarding lives, protecting civilians, and ending military operations. Any delay or obstruction of these imperative measures is unacceptable. The failure to promptly adhere to these principles will undoubtedly result in a humanitarian catastrophe, for which both the Israeli occupation and the international community bear responsibility.
