The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israel's decision to confiscate land housing the UNRWA headquarters in Jerusalem for settlement purposes. On October 13, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation authorities’ recent decision to confiscate land housing the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in occupied Jerusalem. The ministry denounced the move, which aims to convert this land into a settlement outpost, viewing it as a blatant violation of international norms.

The ministry emphasized the Kingdom's unwavering rejection of ongoing Israeli violations of international laws and United Nations resolutions, highlighting the impunity with which these actions are carried out. It expressed concern over the systematic targeting of UN agencies and relief organizations by Israeli authorities, noting that such actions endanger the lives of humanitarian workers and disrupt critical assistance efforts.

Furthermore, the Saudi Foreign Ministry reiterated the Kingdom's steadfast support for UNRWA and its essential humanitarian mission, which provides relief assistance to Palestinian refugees. This support underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to upholding the rights and welfare of Palestinian people amidst ongoing challenges.
