Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Occupation Forces' Bombing of Houses in Beit Lahia, Northern Gaza Strip

On October 21, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a formal statement expressing its deep condemnation of the recent military actions carried out by Israeli occupation forces in Beit Lahia, located in the northern Gaza Strip. According to the statement, the bombing of civilian homes in the area has resulted in significant destruction, heightening concerns about the safety and security of the Palestinian people.

In addition to these events, the Ministry also condemned the incursion of Israeli settlers into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a site of immense religious significance for Muslims worldwide. Saudi Arabia underscored its firm rejection of these actions, which it regards as a direct assault on one of the most sacred Islamic sites.

The Kingdom further reiterated its strong denunciation of what it describes as continued and egregious violations of international law and international humanitarian law by Israeli forces. These actions, it stated, not only jeopardize peace in the region but also constitute an ongoing threat to the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.

Saudi Arabia called on the international community to take decisive steps to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its repeated violations of Palestinian sovereignty and religious sanctity. Specifically, it urged the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council to play a more active role in bringing an end to the violence. The Ministry’s statement concluded with a call for an immediate ceasefire to protect innocent civilians and to preserve peace in the region.
