2 June 2024, Riyadh. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the Israeli occupation authorities for their move to discredit UNRWA through the labeling of the organization as a terrorist group. This classification aims to take away the immunity of UNRWA staff members who try to lessen the intensity of the humanitarian catastrophe now faced by the Palestinian people.
The Kingdom stressed that, as an occupying power, Israel had an obligation to abide by international law and humanitarian law and to cease the obstacles put up to the activities of international organizations.
