Riyadh, December 2, 2024 – In a significant diplomatic development, the first round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia was held today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting provided a crucial platform for both nations to deepen their political and diplomatic ties, enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
The Saudi delegation was led by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed El-Khereiji, a seasoned diplomat with extensive experience in advancing Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy. The Ethiopian delegation was headed by Ambassador Mesganu Arga, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, a key figure in Ethiopia’s international relations. This high-level meeting emphasized the mutual commitment of both countries to foster closer collaboration in a wide range of areas, including trade, investment, security, and cultural exchange.
