Saudi Arabia expects diverse weather patterns, per National Center for Meteorology

Riyadh, February 28, 2024, As per the latest update from the National Center for Meteorology, various regions in Saudi Arabia are expected to experience distinctive weather patterns. Winds are forecasted to sweep across Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, and the Eastern Region, accompanied by the potential for rainfall in these areas.

The sky's outlook for today indicates a partly cloudy to cloudy atmosphere, with a likelihood of light rain in the highlands of Jazan and Asir. Additionally, some parts of the Northern Borders may witness snowfall. However, caution is advised in regions such as the Eastern Region, Riyadh, Hail, Qassim, and Tabuk, where dust-stirring winds might reduce horizontal visibility. These windy conditions could extend to the eastern parts of Makkah and Madinah.

Over the Red Sea, expect southwesterly to northwesterly winds at speeds ranging from 15 to 45 km/h in the northern part. Waves are projected to reach heights of one to two and a half meters, with the sea conditions ranging from relatively calm to choppy.

Meanwhile, in the Arabian Gulf, anticipate northwesterly to northeasterly winds with speeds between 15 and 40 km/h. Wave heights are forecasted to range from one to two meters, and the sea is expected to be relatively choppy. Stay updated on these weather forecasts to make informed decisions and ensure safety in the respective regions.
