Saudi Arabia Explores Agriculture, Food Security Cooperation with G20 Countries


Brasilia, September 14, 2024 – Saudi Arabia has actively engaged in discussions on agricultural and food security cooperation during the Group of Twenty (G20) agriculture ministers' meeting in Brazil's capital. The focus was on strengthening investment opportunities and enhancing trade to bolster global food security and promote sustainable development.


The Saudi delegation, led by Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, participated in the G20 meeting, where they explored various avenues for collaboration. Eng. Al-Fadley conducted several bilateral meetings with agriculture ministers from other G20 member countries to discuss shared interests and potential joint initiatives.



Additionally, Eng. Al-Fadley and his team held a comprehensive session with Brazilian business leaders. The discussions centered on advancing cooperation and expanding investment opportunities in the fields of environment, water, and agriculture. They also focused on increasing trade in food and livestock, and reinforcing the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
