Saudi Arabia expresses gratitude for the International Court of Justice's ruling directing Israel to cease its aggressive military actions in Rafah immediately.

 Saudi Arabia urges the international community to take accountability and stop all forms of brutality against the Palestinian people.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ordered Israel to immediately cease military attacks or any other offensive actions in the Rafah governorate based on the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

The International Court of Justice ordered Israel to stop all military strikes and other acts of aggression against the Rafah governorate with immediate effect based on the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.


The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recognizes and respects the decision of the International Court of Justice; the decision is widely seen as a positive step forward for the moral and legal rights of Palestinians.


Saudi Arabia is appealing with the international community to take accountability and put a stop to any bloodshed against the Palestinian people.


The occasion was held in Riyadh on May 24, 2024. Based on the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to order Israel to immediately cease military attacks and any other offensive actions in the Rafah governorate. The convention served as the basis for the ICJ's ruling.


The International Court of Justice's (ICJ) ruling is regarded by the Kingdom as a positive step toward the moral and legal rights of the Palestinian people. It emphasizes the importance of international choices that apply to all Palestinian regions and are compliant with relevant resolutions of international authority. The international world has once again been called upon by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to assume responsibility and put an end to any kind of violence directed on the Palestinian people, particularly their brothers.
