Saudi Arabia has launched its first accredited diploma program for music teachers

Riyadh, September 05, 2023, The Music Home in Riyadh has announced the beginning of the first music diploma program in the Kingdom to be approved by the Ministry of Culture. Dieses Programm marks a significant advancement in education in line with future goals. In a news conference conducted yesterday on the grounds of the Home, the Institute's executive director, Moataz Al-Shabanah, announced that the diploma program will start in September and last for two academic years. He emphasized the program's role in advancing the use of music as a universal language and as a means of fostering cross-cultural understanding.

Al-Shabanah said that the curriculum offers two tracks, music education and music performance, and that graduates are qualified to work as professional musicians or as music teachers in educational institutions. It is operated in accordance with academic curricula that have been approved and are compatible with the best curricula used internationally.

Noha Qattan, the Ministry of Culture's Undersecretary for National Partnerships and Development, joined celebrities from the media and singers at the press conference.
