Pristina, October 13, 2024 – The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, in collaboration with the Islamic Sheikhdom in the Republic of Kosovo, has officially launched the second Sharia course for imams and khatibs in Pristina. This important initiative, spanning two days, has drawn nearly 100 sheiks from the Islamic Sheikhdom, underscoring the commitment to enhancing religious education and promoting a deeper understanding of Islamic principles.
The course featured a significant scientific symposium led by Mohammed Al-Shahri, the Director of Electronic Dawah at the Ministry’s Agency for Dawah Affairs. During his presentation, Al-Shahri emphasized the essential responsibilities of imams and khatibs, highlighting the critical importance of acquiring Islamic knowledge directly from its authentic sources. He underscored the necessity of adhering to the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, which serve as the foundation of Islamic faith and practice.
This educational endeavor reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's broader mission to disseminate correct religious knowledge and promote a message of moderation and tolerance within Islam.
