Riyadh, November 06, 2023, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to host the Arab Road Bike Championship 2023 this December in Riyadh, with the event being overseen by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The championship will be inclusive, featuring male and female categories.
A total of 300 cyclists representing 14 teams will vie for victory in the tournament, which will unfold over a span of seven days. The competition will include team races against the clock, individual time trials, and individual races, covering an extensive total distance of 730 kilometers.
Abdullah Al-Wathlan, Chairman of the Saudi Cycling Federation and Vice Chairman of the Arab Cycling Federation, stressed that this hosting marks another milestone in a series of prominent sporting events hosted by the Kingdom. He attributed this success to the unwavering support and keen interest of the nation's wise leadership, guided by the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz. Furthermore, he emphasized the substantial technical and positive impact that the Arab championships, spanning various competitions and categories, have on Arab teams and clubs.
