BOLOGNA April 1, 2025 — Saudi Arabia has launched its national pavilion at the Bologna International Book Fair 2025, taking place from March 31 to April 3 at the Bologna Fiere Exhibition Center in Italy.
The pavilion is organized by the Commission for Literature, Publishing, and Translation.
Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasil, CEO of the Literature Authority, explained that the Kingdom's participation seeks to highlight various initiatives aimed at advancing the publishing sector and boosting cultural engagement. These initiatives focus on empowering Saudi publishers and literary agents to engage on a global scale while showcasing the country’s rich intellectual heritage and cultural identity.
“The exhibition presents a key opportunity for Saudi publishers to connect and exchange ideas with international counterparts,” Dr. Al-Wasil emphasized.
The Saudi pavilion features several cultural institutions, including the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the King Fahd National Library, and the Saudi Publishing Association, all working together to promote Saudi literature, translation efforts, and the broader cultural scene.
