Riyadh, October 29, 2024 – Dr. Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, hosted Dr. Gerard Keown, Director of Political Affairs from Ireland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh. The high-level meeting focused on strengthening diplomatic ties between Saudi Arabia and Ireland, with both officials discussing various approaches to bolster bilateral relations.
As part of this engagement, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) establishing a framework for regular political consultations between their respective foreign ministries. This MoU aims to facilitate closer diplomatic collaboration and foster ongoing dialogue on issues of mutual interest, marking a significant step in Saudi-Irish relations.
