Jeddah, March 29, 2024 -- On Thursday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) dispatched its seventh aid shipment to Sudan through the Saudi relief sea bridge, continuing its support to the Sudanese people during challenging times.
The shipment comprised 12 refrigerated trucks carrying a total of 14,960 food baskets, with a combined weight of 524 tons. This aid reached Sudan's Suakin Port after departing from Jeddah Islamic Port, marking a crucial step in providing essential assistance to those in need.
This aid shipment is part of the second phase of the food-security project implemented by KSrelief in Sudan, with the objective of reaching 1.5 million beneficiaries. The initiative aims to alleviate the ongoing challenges faced by the Sudanese people and contribute to improving their living conditions.
The deployment of this aid underscores the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting sisterly and friendly nations during times of crisis.
