Riyadh, October 13, 2024 – In a decisive response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched an air bridge to deliver critical assistance to the Lebanese population. This initiative is driven by the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasizing the Kingdom's commitment to alleviating human suffering worldwide.
The first flight of this humanitarian air bridge departed today from Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, bound for Beirut. The aircraft is loaded with essential supplies, including food, medical aid, and shelter materials, all crucial for supporting those affected by the ongoing crisis in Lebanon. The initiative aims to provide immediate relief to individuals and families facing dire circumstances, ensuring they receive the vital assistance they urgently need.
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Supervisor General of KSrelief and Advisor to the Royal Court, spoke to the Saudi Press Agency about the significance of this humanitarian effort.
