Saudi Arabia ranked second among G20 countries in the UN Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII), highlighting advancements in digital infrastructure and e-government initiatives.

On September 20, 2024, Saudi Arabia achieved a significant milestone by securing the second position among the Group of Twenty (G20) countries in the United Nations Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII). This achievement highlights the Kingdom's substantial progress in digital infrastructure and the effectiveness of government initiatives aimed at enhancing e-government services.

The TII is a comprehensive metric that assesses the global development of telecommunications infrastructure and is a crucial element of the E-Government Development Index (EGDI).
