Bangkok, January 24, 2025 — Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, has embarked on an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand. He is leading the Saudi delegation to participate in the third international ASEAN conference, titled "The Best Nation," which will be held on the 25th and 26th of Rajab 1446 AH. The conference, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, promises to be a key platform for fostering dialogue on Islamic affairs, with a focus on strengthening cooperation among ASEAN nations.
The upcoming conference will bring together a distinguished group of ministers, scholars, muftis, and thinkers from various ASEAN countries to discuss pressing issues and share knowledge on matters related to Islam, interfaith dialogue, and the role of Islamic teachings in contemporary society. The theme "The Best Nation" aims to promote values of excellence, harmony, and mutual respect among the diverse cultures and faiths represented in the ASEAN region.
During his visit, Sheikh Al Alsheikh will also engage in bilateral meetings with Thai officials, exploring prospects for deepening cooperation in Islamic fields.
