The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) took a significant step in addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by signing a cooperation agreement with the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The signing, held in Cairo, Egypt, saw the Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, and UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini representing their respective organizations.
The agreement, valued at over SAR56 million, focuses on vital areas such as food security, shelter, water, and environmental sanitation. Initiatives include the provision of ready-to-eat meals, distribution of blankets and mattresses, procurement of medications, deployment of medical professionals in UNRWA shelters, and the distribution of personal care kits and hygiene materials. The collaborative effort is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza amid the persisting humanitarian crisis.
