Makkah, 4th June 2024. The Saudi Third Expansion of the Grand Mosque in Makkah represents a model example of the successful marriage of Islamic architectural history and modern engineering. Old mosques inspired the intricate patterns of the domes, while the application of cutting-edge technology is the rich creative tradition passed down from generation to generation. One of the most stunning features of the expansion is a set of twenty-two domes. Twelve of these domes, made of movable glass, allow natural light and ventilation to flood the interior chambers when the weather permits. Marble facades, intricate glasswork, and vibrant mosaics on the outside surfaces give the interior and exterior a luxurious appearance.

The interior and exterior are both quite luxurious. The ceilings, with beautiful stones, inlaid into the wood, are remarkable works of art that are absolutely breathtaking. The entire enlargement exudes grandeur, starting with the domes. Towering architectural divisions, soaring ceilings, and expanses of balconies evoke awe. Verse fragments from the Quran, meticulously written in Arabic calligraphy, cover the walls in addition to intricate geometric designs reminiscent of the Grand Mosque's extravagant decoration. Walls, domes, and other decorative components constructed of copper, glass, ceramic, and marble all include these geometric designs with a variety of different patterns.
