Saudi Arabia Sends Fifth Relief Plane to Lebanon


Riyadh, October 18, 2024 – In a continued effort to provide humanitarian assistance to the Lebanese people amid the ongoing crisis, a fifth relief plane organized by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has departed from Riyadh to Beirut. This flight, which took off today, carries essential supplies including food, medical provisions, and shelter aid, further solidifying Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting its neighbors in times of need.


The mission is part of a larger air bridge initiative established by KSrelief, designed to deliver vital assistance quickly and efficiently to those affected by the crisis in Lebanon. This response is guided by the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who have emphasized the Kingdom's role in humanitarian outreach and support for vulnerable populations.


The aid transported by this flight reflects the urgent needs of the Lebanese community, providing not only sustenance and medical support but also shelter for those displaced or impacted by the ongoing turmoil.
