Saudi Arabia will host the AFC U-17 Asian Cup from April 3-20, 2025, with 16 teams competing for a spot in the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Jeddah, March 21, 2025, Saudi Arabia will host the AFC U-17 Asian Cup™ finals from April 3 to 20, with 16 teams competing in Jeddah and Taif.


The tournament, featuring a new format, will see the top eight teams qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will take place in Qatar from November 5 to 27, 2025. This will be the first World Cup with 48 teams.


The draw, held last January, placed host nation Saudi Arabia in Group A with Uzbekistan, Thailand, and China. Group B consists of Japan, Australia, Vietnam, and the UAE, while Group C includes the Republic of Korea, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Indonesia. Group D features Iran, Tajikistan, Oman, and North Korea.


Saudi Arabian Football Federation President Yasser Al Misehal welcomed the teams and expressed his hope for a successful tournament that highlights the best of Asian football.
