Riyadh, April 14, 2024, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is actively participating in the inaugural Gulf Youth Games, hosted by the United Arab Emirates from April 23 to May 2, 2024. Saudi Arabia's representation includes 149 male and female athletes who will compete across 21 different sports during the event.
The Saudi teams have commenced their journey to the UAE, with the taekwondo team already present in Dubai. This team comprises 23 male and female players who are gearing up for their participation in the tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah.
The Gulf Youth Games mark a significant gathering, with over 3,500 male and female athletes, along with administrative, technical, medical, and media delegations, players, and referees from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries coming together for the event's inaugural edition. This gathering underscores the commitment to promoting youth sports and fostering regional cooperation and friendship through athletic endeavors.
