Saudi Arabia to experience diverse weather conditions, per National Center for Meteorology

Riyadh, February 12, 2024, According to the National Center for Meteorology, various weather conditions are expected across different regions of Saudi Arabia:

1. Thunderstorms: Thunderstorms will persist in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the Eastern Region. These areas may also experience heavy fog, along with parts of Al-Jouf, Hail, Qassim, Riyadh, and the Northern Borders.

2. Dust Storms: Winds stirring dust are anticipated over parts of Makkah, Madinah, and Najran.

3. Red Sea: Winds over the Red Sea will vary from northeasterly to northwesterly in the northern and central parts, with speeds ranging from 15-40 km/h. In the southern part, winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly, reaching speeds of 10-50 km/h. Thunderclouds are expected in this region, with waves ranging from half a meter to more than two meters. The sea will be calm to choppy.

4. Arabian Gulf: Winds in the Arabian Gulf will be northeasterly to northwesterly, with speeds ranging from 15-50 km/h. Thunderclouds may accompany these winds. Waves in the Gulf are expected to range from one meter to more than two meters, and the sea will be relatively calm to choppy.
