Saudi Arabia to Host 41st Asian Racing Conference in 2026


 Saudi Arabia will host the 41st Asian Racing Conference (ARC) in 2026, receiving the flag from the Japan Racing Association during the 40th ARC in Sapporo, Japan.


The biennial ARC is a major event in the horse racing industry, and the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia expects to welcome around 1,000 global participants to Riyadh.


Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal emphasized Saudi Arabia’s deep-rooted connection to horse racing and Arabian horses, expressing the Kingdom's commitment to hosting the conference at the highest standards.


Riyadh, August 01, 2024 – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to host the prestigious 41st edition of the Asian Racing Conference (ARC) in 2026. The announcement comes as the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia prepares to receive the conference flag from the Japan Racing Association (JRA) during the 40th edition, which will take place in Sapporo, Japan, from August 27 to September 1, 2024.


The ARC is a globally renowned biennial event that attracts top horse racing owners and experts from around the world. It plays a pivotal role in shaping the industry’s global and regional agendas, driving continuous advancement and innovation within the field.


Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Equestrian Federation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Horse Racing Club, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event. “With the generous support and patronage of the wise leadership, the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia is delighted to welcome the guests of the 41st Asian Racing Conference to Saudi Arabia in two years,” he stated. Prince Bandar highlighted the deep connection between Saudi heritage and the sport of horse racing, emphasizing the role of Arabian horses in the Kingdom’s history and culture. He also noted, “If Japan is the starting point of the ARC, then the Arabian Peninsula is the origin from which the foundations of the modern horse originated hundreds of years ago through the purebred Arabian horse.”


Expressing gratitude to the Asian Federation for this opportunity, Prince Bandar conveyed the Kingdom’s commitment to hosting the conference at the highest level. The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia anticipates welcoming approximately 1,000 participants from around the globe, underscoring the significance of the event in advancing and enhancing the horse racing industry. This announcement reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s leading position as a major destination for horse racing in the Middle East and globally, reflecting the Kingdom’s growing prominence in this prestigious field.
