Saudi Arabia Wins Best Pavilion Award to End World Water Forum Participation in Indonesia


Bali, Indonesia hosted the 10th World Water Forum between May 18–May 25, 2024.


The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the award for the three best exhibits at the forum, for its participation and initiatives related to issues regarding water and water industry development.


In 2027, the 11th World Water Forum will be held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, giving them further recognition for their commitment to solving the world's water problems.



Bali is a part of Indonesia. The date is 26 May 2024. The award for the three most winners well presented pavilions in the exhibition at the forum. Kingdom articulated its contributions towards finding solutions to water problems both locally and globally as well as enhancing water industry through different initiatives at the forum’s 10th World Water Forum that took place in Bali, Indonesia from 18th to 25th May 2024. The Kingdom accomplished this by presenting the most important products and technologies related to its water system.The group from the Kingdom was led by Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. He was speaking on behalf of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In addition to developing and enabling alliances and exchanging experiences and expertise with several nations worldwide, the delegation's attendance at the conference resulted in notable gains in terms of investments and economics.


Al-Fadhli met with his counterparts in the member states on multiple occasions to explore the prospect of collaborating on water, irrigation, and environmental projects. He extended a hearty welcome to them for the next forum meeting, which would be held in the Kingdom in 2027.In addition, at the forum's closing ceremony, the formal acceptance of the papers to host the 11th World Water Forum was held. In 2027, Riyadh is expected to stage the 11th World Water Forum. The event has been named as “Working for a Better Tomorrow”. The organization of this event is a step in the right direction toward safeguarding the resources found in water and accomplishing sustainable development goals in that area. In keeping with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, it strengthens Saudi Arabia's position as a leader in addressing water-related issues on a regional and global scale.


During the forum, working papers on the themes discussed were given by representatives of several water system organizations, who also took part in scientific discourse sessions. These books addressed various issues involving water. Water security and wealth, sustainable finance, governance, cooperation and water diplomacy, knowledge and innovation, as well as disaster risk reduction and management, are among the issues addressed by the delegates. The companies also attended numerous highly technical seminars, where the companies made lengthy presentations on their most remarkable inventions and research to solve present and possible future problems involving water. International business leaders and delegations from around the world travelled to the Saudi Arabian pavilion where there were water enthusiasts too. It was an experience that no one could have found elsewhere because the pavilion showcased what Saudi Arabia is doing to enhance water sector development and its role in dealing with regional and global water matters.


To do this, the most popular water system components and technologies were on exhibit. Besides, the pavilion revealed the Kingdom's efforts and strategic objectives towards ensuring ecological sustainability and water security. The most remarkable discoveries and achievements in water resource management made by the Kingdom are presented in the pavilion. Water system companies exhibited the most outstanding progress and achievements Saudi Arabia has made in water resource management. They also presented the most critical water investment opportunities that participating countries and international water companies with an eye toward extending their global interests through performance may enjoy.


These include funding scientific research using artificial intelligence and modern technology and the development of desalination technologies. In 2027, the Kingdom will host the 11th World Water Forum in Riyadh. This shows that the Kingdom is at the frontline in developing the water sector in the process of meeting and aiding global water concerns in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which directs water and ensures it reaches everyone.
