Saudi Arabian and Maldivian Communications Ministers Gather to Promote Innovation and Digital Partnerships

Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, met with Maldives Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology, Dr. Mohamed Kinaanath, in Riyadh to explore potential partnerships in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies.

Riyadh, December 19, 2024 – Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, met today with Dr. Mohamed Kinaanath, the Maldives Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology, in Riyadh. The meeting focused on exploring potential partnerships and collaborative opportunities between the two nations in key areas of technological advancement, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies.


During the discussions, both leaders emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and leveraging cutting-edge technology to address the evolving needs of their respective countries. The talks centered on the shared vision of utilizing artificial intelligence and advanced digital solutions to drive economic growth, enhance government services, and improve overall societal well-being. Additionally, the collaboration aimed at building robust digital infrastructure was identified as a crucial component for supporting future technological advancements and securing the digital transformation of both nations.


Minister Alswaha highlighted Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes the role of technology in shaping the future and advancing national development.
