On October 1, 2024, The Attorney General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib, led a delegation to the 29th International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan. The conference, running for three days, brings together prosecution bodies from various countries, international organizations, and human rights associations to address issues such as transnational crimes, terrorism, human trafficking, and international cooperation in criminal justice.
Sheikh Al-Mujib and his delegation, which includes senior officials from the Public Prosecution and the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of Saudi Arabia, engaged in a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from Austria, Croatia, Turkey, Georgia, Malta, Kenya, Nepal, and the Republic of Korea. These meetings focused on enhancing mutual legal assistance, extradition procedures, and information sharing, reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening international criminal justice collaboration.
