Baku, September 1, 2024 – Saudi Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib met with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, in Baku to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two nations. During this meeting, both parties signed a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Saudi Public Prosecution and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan. The MoU is designed to facilitate the exchange of information, promote joint research efforts, and organize meetings to address critical issues of mutual interest.
This agreement represents a major step in enhancing international judicial communication between Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan. By fostering closer ties, both nations aim to improve their ability to combat cross-border crimes, ensuring their legal frameworks align with global best practices. The MoU underscores the commitment of both countries to upholding justice and addressing shared legal challenges through greater collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili, further highlighting the importance of this strategic partnership. This agreement is expected to pave the way for continued cooperation between the legal institutions of Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan, reinforcing their joint efforts to address international legal concerns and combat criminal activities across borders.
