Saudi Attorney General met China's Prosecutor-General and delegation in Riyadh

Riyadh, October 30, 2023, In a significant meeting at the Public Prosecution headquarters in Riyadh, Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib hosted the Prosecutor-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China, Ying Yong, who is leading a high-level delegation on an official visit to the Kingdom. The meeting began with warm greetings from Al-Mujib, expressing his hopes for a fruitful and enjoyable visit for the Chinese delegation during their stay in Saudi Arabia.


The discussions revolved around the legal ties between the two judicial entities. The Chinese Prosecutor-General received a comprehensive visual presentation detailing legislative and institutional advancements within the Kingdom. He gained insights into the structure and functions of the Saudi judicial system, as well as an overview of the Public Prosecution. Notable attention was given to the digital governance practices employed by the Public Prosecution in handling criminal cases, incorporating advanced parliamentary techniques. Furthermore, key achievements and progress indicators in judicial and procedural work carried out by members of the Public Prosecution were presented.


This visit by Prosecutor-General Ying Yong holds immense significance in fortifying bilateral relations, addressing common legislative and justice concerns, and exploring avenues to boost legal collaboration between the two judicial bodies. The overarching aim is to advance the cause of justice in both nations.
