Saudi Broadcasting Authority and China Media Group Talk About Promoting Cooperation Under Joint Venture

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) and China Media Group (CMG) held a meeting to review their cooperation under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in December 2022.

Riyadh, December 30, 2024 – The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) hosted a significant meeting with China Media Group (CMG) to discuss and strengthen their collaboration under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in December 2022. The meeting, which took place in Riyadh, was chaired by Mohammed Fahad Alharthi, CEO of SBA, and Mu Li, Head of CMG's Middle East office, along with senior officials from both organizations.


The purpose of the meeting was to review the progress made since the signing of the MoU, which set the stage for a closer partnership between the two media giants. Both sides emphasized the tangible successes achieved in the past year, which include the successful exchange of news and documentaries, fostering a deeper understanding of each country's cultural landscape and media landscape. This collaboration has helped both entities broaden their reach and enhance the quality of content shared globally.


In addition to media content exchange, the two parties highlighted the importance of mutual visits by delegations, a key part of the MoU's objective to build stronger professional ties. These exchanges have facilitated the sharing of expertise, enhanced collaboration on media projects, and opened avenues for further cooperation in areas such as media infrastructure, technology, and content production.
