Saudi Business Center launches Unified QR-Code service in collaboration with government

Riyadh, January 15, 2024, The Saudi Business Center (SBC) has introduced the Unified QR-Code service in collaboration with key government entities, including the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense, as outlined in an official SBC press release.

This innovative service aims to provide the most up-to-date, accurate, and reliable information on facilities that are required to present documents issued by various government entities. By consolidating data, the service reduces the time spent on inspection and supervision operations.

The initial phase of the service involves the compilation of commercial registration data, municipal licenses, VAT certificates, and Salamah licenses into a unified online document. Subsequent phases will encompass the inclusion of all remaining operation licenses and related data.

The Unified QR-Code service is designed to benefit the business sector by allowing customers to electronically access the latest data concerning a facility. This streamlined approach not only enhances efficiency but also contributes to the overall ease of doing business.

Entrepreneurs interested in availing the service can apply through the Business platform on the Saudi Business Center's website.

SBC, with its extensive network of 17 branches across 14 cities in Saudi Arabia, offers over 750 services. It plays a crucial role in facilitating the startup and operation of businesses in the country while actively contributing to the digitization of policies and procedures, leading to time and cost savings. This collaborative effort with relevant government partners reflects a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in the business ecosystem.
